Cattleya Company
About Cattleya

We believe every brand has something worth saying.

Our Story

Cattleya began in Cali in 2019, when its founder — after years working with marketing and communications teams across Colombia — noticed something consistent: companies often knew what they did, but struggled to say it in a way that felt genuinely like them.

The problem wasn't the strategy. It was the space — or the lack of it. There was rarely room to sit with questions about voice, audience, or direction without feeling pushed toward a decision. Cattleya was shaped to offer that space.

We work slowly and deliberately. Our sessions are conversations, not presentations. Our documents are written to be returned to, not filed away. The goal is always to leave a company more certain of its direction — and more at ease with how it presents itself to the world.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: to help companies in Colombia present themselves with more intention and honesty. We don't impose frameworks. We ask good questions, listen carefully, and help you articulate what you already know about your own brand — often better than you expected.

We work across industries — from small creative studios to mid-sized service firms — and adapt our approach to each client's particular culture and pace. Brand advisory is personal work. We treat it that way.

The People

We believe in depth over breadth. Our team is intentionally compact, which means every client gets direct access to senior thinking — always.

Founder & Lead Advisor

Fifteen years in brand strategy across Bogotá and Cali. Luisa leads Brand Read and Identity Study engagements, bringing a calm, analytic sensibility to each conversation.

Positioning Strategist

Jorge brings a background in marketing communications and market research to positioning work, helping clients see where their voice sits in the wider landscape.

Visual Language Advisor

Alejandra reviews visual communication as part of Identity Study engagements — looking at how design choices align with or contradict a brand's stated positioning.

Our Standards

These principles aren't marketing language — they shape every engagement, from the first conversation to the final document.

Client briefs, session notes, and strategic documents remain entirely confidential. We never share information between clients or use work as case studies without explicit agreement.

We say what we observe, even when it's uncomfortable. Our value is in clarity — which means we won't tell you only what you want to hear.

Every engagement ends with something written — a summary, a brief, or a roadmap. Nothing is left only in conversation where it can be misremembered.

There are no juniors handling client relationships at Cattleya. The person you speak with in the first call is the person doing the work.

We don't overcommit. Delivery dates and session schedules are agreed in advance and respected — by us and we ask the same of clients.

All personal and business data is handled in accordance with Colombian data protection law (Ley 1581 de 2012) and our internal privacy protocols.

Our Approach

Brand identity is not a checklist. It involves questions about what a company values, who it serves, what language it uses naturally, and how it wants to be remembered. These questions take time and honesty to answer well. At Cattleya, we hold that space open.

Our consulting practice draws on disciplines that don't always sit in the same room — strategy, visual communication, language, and cultural context. In the Colombian market, that last element matters particularly. The way a brand speaks in Cali is different from the way it might speak in Bogotá or Medellín, and we pay attention to that.

We work with companies at different stages — some are new and trying to establish a tone from the beginning; others are well-established but feeling a gap between who they are and how they come across. Both situations are interesting to us, and both benefit from the same unhurried, careful thinking we bring to every engagement.
